SURGE
SURGE are an infectious, garage-rock cocktail of tongue-in-cheek lyricism, angular riffs and catchy melodies - an addictive blend that's been likened to early-Blur and constantly championed by BBC Introducing.
Hailing from Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, this enthralling, guitar-ladened, four-piece have quickly established themselves as a blistering live force and their energetic and often unpredictable live shows have been said to embody the same snarling edge of The Vaccines and the charming characteristics of The Libertines.
Since the group's debut gig at The Soundhouse, Colchester in April 2015, SURGE have released three singles, (two self-produced) in 'Tears of Joy', 'LOVEBLOOD' and 'Lemonade' - one of which was released on a red 7'' vinyl, after many fans of the band donated to what went on to be a successful Kickstarter campaign in support of the release.
The band have also recorded a live session for BBC Introducing, performed at Camden Rocks Festival alongside the likes of Carl Barat and The Cribs, seen their second single sold via Rough Trade Records, played at the historic Camden Barfly and caught the attention of popular music websites, Gigwise, Louder Than War, Gigslutz, Little Indie Blogs, A Music Blog Yea?and It's All Indie.
