FLAT MOUNTAIN FAMILY

The Flat Mountain Family is a bluegrass band with attitude; they play a mix of traditional and original songs with the aim to get the audience dancing and to leave them breathless.

 

The line up is Andy on vocals and mandolin, Dan on guitar, brother Dub on banjo and cousin Dan on double bass.

 

The guys are not new to this, 3 of the band are from the mighty Saltdog who dominated the music scene for well over 10 years with their blend of high energy folk/rock playing festivals, bike rally’s, pubs and clubs all over the country.

 

Singer Andy said “we had a few bluegrass sessions and it soon became clear we needed a bass so we enticed cousin Dan to join with the promise of fame, fortune and fun he soon realised 1 out of 3`s not bad”

 

This is a high energy band who’s punch and drive is perfect for any audience young and old.

 

The Family is currently in the studio writing songs for there forthcoming album which is due for release late summer.
